Figure 7 is a bar graph depicting the relative net costs incurred by AHRQ for three activities—Research on Health Costs, Quality, and Outcomes; the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey; and program support—from FY 2001 through FY 2003.
Net costs for Research on Health Costs, Quality, and Outcomes totaled $191 million in FY 2001, $227 million in FY 2002, and $194 million in FY 2003.
Net costs for Medical Expenditure Panel Survey activities totaled $35 million in FY 2001, $46 million in FY 2002, and $22 million in FY 2003.
Net costs for program support totaled $3 million in FY 2001, $3 million in FY 2002, and $1 million in FY 2003.
