Study Selection: Selected references from those retrieved by MEDLINE database search, using terms: "transplantation," "pancreas," "diabetes," and "treatment."

Data Extraction: Over 200 references retrieved, most concerned with combined pancreas-kidney transplantation. Small number of cases involving isolated pancreas transplantation included in studies reporting on combined organ transplantation. No patient selection criteria described.
