AHRQ releases new series on closing the quality gap
Research Activities, September 2011
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has released a new series on Closing the Quality Gap: Revisiting the State of the Science. In 2004, AHRQ launched a series of reports on quality improvement strategies, tools, and processes aimed at reducing gaps in care quality in a number of areas. These included hypertension, diabetes, coordination of care, and other topics. This new series of reports continues the focus on improving the quality of health care with the goal of applying and advancing the state of the science for improving the health care system for the benefit of all patients.
