The National Advisory Council for Healthcare Research and Quality will meet on Friday, July 29. The Council provides advice to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality on matters related to AHRQ's customers and health services researchers.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the status of the Agency's current research, programs, and initiatives. Specifically, the Council will discuss AHRQ's Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project, the strategy for updating the National Healthcare Quality Report and National Healthcare Disparities Report, and a program assessment rating tool for long-term care.
