The Academy for Health Services Research and Health Policy (formerly the Association for Health Services Research) has chosen an article coauthored by AHRQ researcher Claudia Steiner, M.D., as the recipient of its Article of the Year award for 2000. The article is based on data from AHRQ's State Inpatient Databases (SID) from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP). The award will be conferred at the Association's annual meeting to be held June 10-12, 2001, in Atlanta, GA.
